WHAT IS HERBATINT?
Herbatint is a permanent hair colouring gel enriched with 8 organic herbal extracts. It is FREE OF ammonia, resorcinol, alcohol, parabens and fragrance and contains a very low concentration of hydrogen peroxide. Its formula has been dermatologically tested on sensitive skin. Herbatint gives the hair a very natural colour, covers 100% grey hair from the first application and can lighten up to 2 tones. Since its launch in 1970, Herbatint has only ever focused on the beauty and health of coloured hair and today is available in more than 40 countries, making it a major player in the market of natural hair dyes.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COLOUR MY HAIR?
If using Herbatint permanent colours, we suggest that you colour your hair when you see regrowth, usually after 5 weeks.
HOW CAN I KEEP MY HAIR COLOUR LAST FOR A LONGER PERIOD?
The regular use of Normalising Shampoo and Royal Cream as a complement to the Herbatint hair colour gel, will ensure duration and intensity of the colour. Their formula has been specifically developed to gently wash and perfectly seal the hair cuticles after colouring, protecting the colour after several washings.
WHY SHOULD I USE THE NORMALISING SHAMPOO AND ROYAL CREAM?
Normalising Shampoo gently cleans your hair without compromising the stability of your hair colour. Specifically formulated, this shampoo has an acid pH to neutralise any eventual oxidation residue following hair colouring treatment. Royal Cream is a powerful regenerating conditioner that benefits from the high protein content in wheat bran oil, vitamin F and the nourishing and anti-irritating properties of aloe vera extracts. By restoring the natural balance of hair, Royal Cream leaves it shiny and soft with a healthy look. Normalising Shampoo and Royal Cream can be used each time you wash your hair, maintaining your colour longer and keeping your hair in good condition.
IS HERBATINT TESTED ON ANIMALS AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?
Herbatint is not tested on animals and is manufactured according to the highest international standards (GMP). Herbatint uses fully recyclable cardboard of controlled origin (FSC) and is suitable for vegans. Its packaging enables multiple applications.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HERBATINT AND HENNA?
Unlike henna, Herbatint is easy to mix and apply, and has no odour. While henna creates a film around the hair making it impossible to follow with any other colouring treatments, Herbatint gently penetrates the hair without damaging it and allows for the application of highlights. Herbatint is available in 36 mixable shades of colour while henna has a limited colour choice.
WILL HERBATINT COVER MY GREY HAIR?
All Herbatint permanent colours cover grey hair from the first application. However if you have more than 30% of grey hair and your colour choice is a golden, copper, mahogany or ash shade, for perfect colour result we recommend mixing the colour of your choice with the same number from the natural range. For example, if you have 50% of grey hair and your colour choice is 6D (dark golden blonde) you need to mix the 6D with the same amount of 6N (dark blonde). Remember to use a quantity of developer equal to the total quantity used for the two colours. In fact, colour and developer must always be mixed in equal parts.
WHAT ARE PHENYLENEDIAMINES, OR PPD’S? WHY DO WE DISCUSS IT SO FREQUENTLY?
The PPD (p-Phenylenediamine) is an indispensable ingredient in permanent hair dyes, for what concerns the present status on technical progress. It enables the effective coverage of grey hair and, combined with other colouring agents, provides a wide range of colour shades. If any permanent hair colour product claims to be free of PPD it certainly contains Toluenediamine, which is not less likely to produce sensitivity reactions.
